For the past three years Wendy's has given veterans and active-duty service members a free Breakfast Combo — any breakfast sandwich, Seasoned Potatoes and a drink — on November 11 during breakfast hours, in the restaurant or drive-thru, at participating US locations. Breakfast hours mean the store's regular window: opening until 10:30 AM. There is no extension for the holiday, so the offer is effectively a 4-hour window (6:30–10:30 at most stores) and shorter at the 413 stores that open at 8:00. New in 2026: roughly 27% of US Wendy's no longer serve breakfast at all, and those stores cannot honor a breakfast-combo offer — so check that your store serves breakfast before you go.

Timing the visit
Veterans Day 2026 is a Wednesday, so regular weekday breakfast hours apply. That is 6:30–10:30 AM at 43% of stores, 6:00–10:30 at 17%, 7:00–10:30 at 17%, and 8:00–10:30 at 10% (mostly Massachusetts, Kansas, North Carolina and Michigan stores). Federal offices and many schools are closed, so morning traffic is lighter than a normal Wednesday except at the stores near VA facilities and military installations, which see their busiest breakfast of the year. The stores serving Fort Campbell (Clarksville TN, Oak Grove KY), Camp Lejeune (NC) and NAS Whidbey Island (WA) close breakfast at 10:00 AM, not 10:30, and several serve from 5:00 AM.
Because it is a combo and combos require the full breakfast line, the offer follows the same practical cutoffs as any breakfast order: crews stop cooking new batches around 10:15, and a drive-thru lane joined at 10:25 may not reach the speaker in time. Arrive by 10:00.
The 2026 complication: stores without breakfast
Since February 2026, 1,512 US Wendy's have dropped breakfast and open at 9:00 or 10:00 AM. They will not be able to offer a breakfast combo on Veterans Day. This matters most in the states where the drop-outs cluster: North Carolina (only 45% of stores serve breakfast), Texas (56%), New York (40%), Connecticut (50%), Minnesota (43%), New Hampshire (24%) — including some metros with large veteran populations (San Antonio 6 of 22 stores; Virginia Beach 7 of 15; Fayetteville NC 5 of 10; Colorado Springs 5 of 9). Before November 11, confirm your store serves breakfast: any Wendy's that opens between 4:00 and 8:00 AM does; one that opens at 9:00 or 10:00 does not. History of the offer
Wendy's introduced the free Veterans Day breakfast combo in 2023, its first Veterans Day promotion since relaunching breakfast in March 2020; the 2023 version was announced in late October and featured the Sausage, Egg & Cheese English Muffin (then new) and the Breakfast Baconator. The 2024 offer repeated the terms — free combo, breakfast hours, in-restaurant or drive-thru, VetRewards card or self-identification. The 2025 offer was identical and Wendy's clarified that no military ID was needed. Expect the 2026 announcement in the last week of October; if the format changes (for example, to an app-only offer, as some chains have done), this page will say so.
